Hong Kong electric motorcycle prices, tax and insurance

The sticker is only the first line. October 2026 shop figures, a full first-registration-tax waiver until 31 March 2028, and a HK$1,314 yearly licence. Third-party insurance is a separate quote.

A Hong Kong electric-motorcycle price is the bike plus the paperwork. Ask whether the sticker includes the battery, registration handling and the first licence. Insurance is usually separate. The hub page is the 2026 guide.

What do you pay on the day?

Five lines: bike, first registration tax, vehicle licence, third-party insurance, helmet and lock. Electric motorcycles keep a full first-registration-tax waiver until 31 March 2028, announced on 25 February 2026. The private-motorcycle licence is HK$1,314 a year or HK$488 for four months. Premiums come from a licensed insurer. See the quote checklist.

Shop stickers you can open and date. Customs valuation can still move a figure.

What sits behind the Light Bee 2 sticker?

Moto-One on 6 October 2026 placed the Light Bee 2 between the Light Bee and the Ultra Bee: a light bike with a higher factory output. Factory figures on that page: 24 kW, 68 kg, 90 km/h, 410 Nm at the rear wheel, 0–50 km/h in 1.8 seconds, 0–80 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The pack is 78.54V / 45Ah, about 3.53 kWh. Claimed range is about 160 km at 25 km/h and about 108 km at 40 km/h. Charge times are about 2 hours from 20% to 80%, and about 4 hours from empty to full. A 17 August note on the same site lists a 21-inch front wheel, an 18-inch rear and an 830 mm seat; the October spec line lists a 70/100-19 front tyre. Match the tyre on the bike in front of you. This site has not ridden it.

Which NIU prices are still current?

The NQiX 500 line “from HK$39,800” was tied to an offer ending 31 October 2025. The NQi GTS 2023 and MQi GT pages do not list a current price. The NX Hyper page says the price is to be confirmed and pre-orders are paused. See the NIU note.
